This notice explains what happens to your personal data when you use this website, fairfax.amsterdam. The salon is at Kinkerstraat 120, 1053ED Amsterdam.
The controller is Assort B.V., a Dutch besloten vennootschap, registered at Kerkstraat 99A, 1017 GD Amsterdam, Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KVK) 67067336, VAT NL856816486B01.
Booking an appointment happens on Fresha, and your salon visit itself is recorded separately from this website. This notice covers the website.
The contact form
The form asks for your name, email address, a subject and your message. A phone number is optional. We use them for one purpose: to read your message and reply to you.
Your message is sent by email to the salon (info.fairfaxams@assort-hair.com, copied to fairfax.amsterdam@gmail.com) and your email address is set as the reply address, so a reply goes straight back to you.
The email is delivered for us by Resend (resend.com), an email delivery service. Your message passes through their systems on its way to us, and may be processed outside the European Union. We do not use your message for marketing and we do not pass it to anyone else.
Your message stays in the salon mailbox for as long as we may still need it to help you. You can ask us to delete it at any time — see Your rights below.
Keeping spam out
The form carries a hidden field that people never see and a check on how quickly it was filled in. Both run on our own server and collect nothing about you.
Your IP address is used for a few minutes to limit how often the form can be submitted from one place. It is not stored with your message and is not used for anything else.
Measurement and other services on this website
Google Analytics (measurement ID G-RDMDK0Q2F1) counts visits so we can see which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit, including your IP address. You can stop it by blocking cookies in your browser settings or by installing Google's own opt-out add-on.
The salon page loads Google Fonts for its typefaces and shows a Google Maps map of the salon. Both are loaded from Google, so opening the page tells Google your IP address even if you never click the map.
The BOOK NOW button goes through our own website before it sends you to Fresha, our booking system. We record that a booking button was clicked, which page it was on, which site you arrived from and which browser you used. We do not record your IP address or your name in that log. What happens after you arrive at Fresha is covered by Fresha's own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- limit what we do with it, or object to it
- send it to you in a portable form
Write to info.fairfaxams@assort-hair.com and we will answer. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
